Our Miracle

The week of March 23rd I was blessed to experience the perfection of God’s love and wisdom.  On March 23rd, our beloved Daughter Ashley had eye surgery.  Ashley is special needs and although 32 years old, is developmentally 2 months old.  My blessings this week began in prayer and meditation on Sunday the 20th.  I experienced this deeply profound, overwhelming warmth and light clearly communicating to me that all would be well in Ashley’s surgery.  I consciously nurtured that feeling throughout the week.  Believing in the gentle love of God, I choose only to share my experience with Sandra, my beloved wife.

Our week progressed with friends and family offering their prayers and love.  I continued to focus on gratitude and belief in God’s love.  The morning of the surgery, I could feel my trembling ego getting shaky.  I continued to affirm God’s love and message of perfect health.  The expected 1 ½ hour surgery turned into 2 ½ and with Sandra nervously shaking next to me, my belief started to creak just a little.  As soon as I saw her surgeon, I knew all was good.  I prayed unceasingly, “Thank you God, Thank you God, Thank you God.”  As Ashley’s surgeon brought us back to recovery, he gently spoke “Get on your knees tonight and thank God.  This could have gone south and it was perfect.”  My reply, “I thank God every night.”

Ashley is our miracle.  Every moment, every day.  Hard times, stressful times, good times, joy.  We live with miracles.  Each of you is a miracle.  Be aware, be grateful.  Let each moment of your life be an expression of loving gratitude.

Ashley can see.  Today I showed her a beautiful Easter card and she looked straight at it.

Miracles.  There are no ordinary moments.
